Wanted: Commissioner of Education // Updated August 12

Update:

Within a day of opening up the vacancy, a lovely candidate responded to our quest of finding a Commissioner of Education. The past weeks we have had time to slowly immerse her into All Things Albion and to get her up to speed on our year plan. We’ve got high hopes for her and are very excited that she could join us. Her official instalment will be at the next General Assembly (ALV) and further information about the GA will follow.

Without further ado, we are proud to present to you our Candidate Commissioner of Education: Zoë op ten Berg!

Dear Albioneers,

As you might have heard, board XXIX is in need of a fifth member: the Commissioner of Education. Below, you will find the job description. If you have any questions, don’t hestitate to contact the board and/or email us at albionutrecht@gmail.com!

The Commissioner of Education is the link between the board of Albion and the bachelor English Language and Culture. The Commissioner of Education does this through maintaining all contact with the teaching staff and attending departmental meetings, as well as the meetings of the degree programme advisory committee (OC). The Commissioner of Education also coordinates all contact with the alumni of the bachelor English Language and Culture in Utrecht, in the position of vice-chair of the Alumni Committee. They are also vice-chair of the Academic Committee, unless the position of chair has yet to be filled. As such, the Commissioner of Education oversees the organization of the Parents Day. The Commissioner of Education also concerns themselves with the book sales through Albion and the LinkedIn-page.

Apply by sending your motivation to albionutrecht@gmail.com, we would love to hear from you!

With love,

The 29th board of Albion
