What’s next?

On March 16th 2015 the first even Humanities Career Night was hosted in the Drift. Many alumni came along to talk about their careers and how their BA or MA in Humanities played a part in it. Have a look at the after movie to get a better impression of the night.

Since then, the Humanities Career Night is a recurring yearly event where you can get inspiration for what to do after you’ve gotten your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Language and Culture. Keep and eye on the social media of Albion to see when it occurs this year!

 

 

Additionally, there is not really a certain job that this degree prepares you for. In this program you get taught in the sciences of linguistics or literature and you will learn how to do research.

People from our degree program end up everywhere in the world. Some become translators with an agency, others become literary critics, linguistic or literary researchers tied to a a research institute or educational facility. Going into education is a path that is also quite often chosen. There are also alumni that go into intercultural communication, or work at banks or government institutes. You can basically go anywhere if you have studies English Language and Culture!

What, in any case, is great for a possible future employer is that you comprehend academic English to an incredibly high degree. In Utrecht we are the top degree in the Netherlands offering English Language and Culture so you will have been taught at a top institute and top degree.
