The past few weeks were really stressful and I have been feeling anxious and insecure for days now. The ironic thing is that everything went exactly as planned and I really don’t have anything to complain about. Whenever I feel this way, I forget the things that cheer me up and I can only focus on the negative things around me. Today was not a good day, but I still managed to laugh until my stomach hurt and that reminded me that things will be better tomorrow, or soon at least. For future reference, and for anyone that might need it, here’s a list of things that never fail to make me happy.

My all-time favorite TV show is Friends, and I could probably watch a season in a day if I wanted to. Recently I watched (and finished, unfortunately) Please like me and Lovesick. They are both on Netflix and I can really recommend them. I prefer TV shows over movies, but movies like Mean Girls, She’s the Man, 10 things I hate about you and Clueless are always a good choice. If you ever want to drown in your own sorrow (which is totally okay), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind will do the trick.

Something that helps me put recent experiences and events in perspective is writing. I used to keep a diary and although I don’t keep one now, I still write down my thoughts from time to time just because it helps me progress everything. My brother is really creative and I know that whenever he is stressed or has a lot on his mind, he draws. Go for whatever works for you.

If you need a quick boost of happiness, go to YouTube and search for Buzz and the Dandelions. I don’t even really like children (they’re sticky), but this instantly puts a smile on my face. Also, friends are great. I like to look at the screenshots I took of their ugly snapchats to cheer myself up.
